Peskov spoke about the development of foreign tourism in Russia

The development of foreign tourism in Russia continues, Moscow is pleased that more foreigners come to Russian cities, said spokesman of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

Previously, under sanctions, the EU prohibited European companies from providing any services directly related to tourism activities in Russia. Portuguese analyst and lawyer Alexandri Guerreiro told RIA Novosti that the sale of tourist trips to Russia and even promotion of the country as a destination for tourism is now completely banned in the European Union. In turn, Peskov said that the Kremlin does not see anything surprising in the restrictions of the Russian route for European tour operators, as there are many restrictions in Europe on various companies, not only in the tourism sector.

"At the same time, the number of tourists who arrive in Moscow is increasing. Tourists from China, tourists from Arab countries, from the Persian Gulf countries are increasingly encountered in our cities, more frequently, and we welcome these tourists," he told journalists.

Peskov emphasized that they contribute to the development of the Russian economy, small and medium-sized businesses." The development of tourism, including from foreign countries, continues", - concluded Peskov.
