In St. Petersburg, measures were developed to help tourists in case of communication disruptions
The authorities of St. Petersburg together with representatives of the tourism business developed measures to help tourists in case of interruptions of communication and internet. Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov told about this in an interview with TASS.
«Such measures are already being taken. In the pavilions of the city’s tourist information office, guests will be told about the work of transport, given paper maps and guidebooks, just orientated. Employees of the mobile information service Ask Me also distribute maps to citizens and answer questions» , - said the governor.
St. Petersburg has a city contact center where tourists can call with questions, and compatriots have the opportunity to write in chat-bot at "Max".
"We also submitted a request to have the city’s tourist portal Visit Petersburg enter the so-called white list" and work even with limited internet," added Beglov.
There is an alternative when mobile internet is out of service: free SPB_FREE Wi-Fi. It is available 24/7 in popular public places, parks, libraries, MFC and at the subway lobby, said Beglov.
