MFA: Russia negotiates a visa-free regime with Bahrain and Kuwait
Russia is discussing with Bahrain and Kuwait the possibility of introducing a visa-free regime. Negotiations with these countries are continuing, said Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation George Borisenko.
According to the diplomat, visa waiver agreements are already in place with four Gulf states. Russians with common citizenship passports can visit Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates without additional documents.
George Borisenko expressed hope that Bahrain and Kuwait would also join this practice.
For now, for travel to these countries, Russians need to take into account the current visa regulations. In Bahrain, you can get a one-time visa on arrival for 14 days. The cost is 5 Bahraini dinars (about $13). It is also possible to issue the document in advance through the official visa portal.
To visit Kuwait, you usually need to obtain a visa in advance. Russians with valid Schengen can issue e-visas. Other travelers will need to contact the embassy.
