Chernyshenko called tourism the fastest growing industry of the economy of the Russian Federation

Tourism is the fastest growing industry in the Russian economy, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

"Travel is probably the most interesting and fastest growing sector of our country’s economy, it has been growing by double digits this year - it is the tourism industry," he said at the lecture "Generation of creators: who is building Russia’s technological future", which took place at the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg.

Vice Prime Minister spoke about the resorts of the south of the country and the Urals, as well as about the Yekaterinburg Museum of Local History, where you can see the Shigiir idol, which is more than 12 thousand years old.

Addressing foreign forum participants, he added that the electronic visa, which entitles citizens of other states to stay in Russia for up to 30 days, is processed online in just four days. Chernyshenko also spoke about visa-free programs for travelers from China, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Myanmar.
